Help for kobo touch Mark 3 N905 display change

Hi everybody :-)
I'm a french retired development engineer from Strasbourg, and I'm running some repair-cafes here. I already helped to repair some ebooks, but I'm stuck with that one.
It came with a broken screen, and I found/bought what seemed to me a correct replacement on aliexpress... but i've got issues testing the thing:
Scren is displaying things, which one can recognize as initializing steps, so the screen is not totally wrong, but picture is very blurred and fuzzy, not useable.
Did a factory reset which didn't help...
I fear it is a screen hardware release issue and the software in my reader is not correctly driving the screen. Maybe a later release could do the trick?
the complete ref of the broken screen is: ED060SC7(LF)C1 MER60B8061(E74) E30408741L8C00174CK and the new one is ED060SC7(LF)H2 EMA60B4016(C12) E31006121L4U00143AT.
Has someone some clue?

Check the VCOM value printed on the flex cable's tag, and check if it matches between the two screens.
