display the self-defined "read" icon
Calibre's web server works well for me. However, I haven't figured out how to display the self-defined "read" icon with the displayed covers. It would be very helpful if I could already see which titles I had already read when looking over them. Is there a good solution for this?
 Directly in the Calibre program works this display really great |

use a custom template for the book list in Preferences->Sharing over the net->Book list template

You cant put emblems on book covers in the content server view. But you can use the template to show whatever metadata you like in text form alongside the cover.

I just tried that - however, I see that now on mobile not everything is displayed because the line height is apparently FIX and does not adjust to the output text. Have I overlooked something else

That looks like a bug. Open a bug report and post your template and I will have a look at it when I have a moment.
