Adding book blerb to file

With the more recent versions of Calibre, I find that, when I edit the MetaData and add in the book's description/blerb (the information that usually is on the back of the book), it doesn't always appear.

Usually, it appears soon after the title page of the book but is missing in some books.

Is there a way this information can be added to the epub output file that I'm creating?

In the conversion dialog the option is in the Structure detection section, named "Insert metadata as first page in book"

I will assume, you are looking at the code

or internal viewer

Updating data in the MDE does not affect the Library copy. Never has.
You must force it to happen. Embed Metadata , Polish or Modify EPUB (a plugin) can do that (if configured to)
Sending to device updates the device COPY only

Thank you! I've made the change and will try it out with the next book I use Calibre for!

There is also an option in the Polish books tool to add a the metadata as jacket page.

The Modify EPUB plugin provides the additional option of putting the metadata jacket page at the back of the book.
