Linux - Calibre Ebook-Reader Not Responding

OpenSuse 15.2
I select view book (I've tried several) and the viwer windows opens but does not initialise. Started in debug and the log reads [below]. It used to work :-(

Any ideas for a fix? Is there some cache I need to clear?
