Kobo Glo Screen on Kobo Touch?

Hi, I've been using my Kobo Touch e-reader a lot and love the experience. With the modified android rom from here was also a good modifier but I was wondering if I could replace the Kobo Touch N905 Screen with a Kobo Glo screen for a backlight since reading without a light is quite hard with this device?

I doubt it will work for few reasons. Firstly, the power for the light is from a separate cable connected to the PCB. There won't be a socket on to connect this to in the Touch. And it won't have the hardware controls for it.

Another problem is that the screen will not be recognised properly. From something someone else has done, it will probably only use part of the screen. But, as you are running Android on it, you might be able to solve that problem.

And I think there would be a problem with the touch. The resolution is probably different and I doubt theGlo screen would fit between the sensors and emitters on the Touch.

It's very unlikely to drive the screen, the touch won't work and the light won't work.

I have lights on all my touch based ereaders except the PRS-350 and hardly ever use them. I use a good bedside reading lamp. I'd only need the light somewhere gloomy I might visit.

I do need the light if I am going to read in bed and my wife is trying to sleep.

Hmm... how about buying her a sleep mask? A couple of my acquaintances swear by them even if they are alone in the bed.

I don't think she'd like that. I know I would not like a sleep mask. I cannot even use them on a plane.
