I depend heavily on this app, which is my core PDA functionality. I'll enjoy an upgrade. Only thing is that it works so well now, all I really want is a little more speed, and maybe a less confusing interface in a few places (like more clarity and confirmation of what I've done in the repeating appts section).
But I'm sure when I've seen the new features, there will be something fun there that I will make use of. Any idea if it's a free or cheap upgrade path? |

I suspect you'll have to pay half of the full price ($29.95 / 2 = $14,98), since this is a major upgrade:
Major Upgrades We always provide free upgrades for our software through sub-point upgrades. This means that version 5.6 will be a free upgrade from 5.0 all the way to a hypothetical 5.99. Major version upgrades such as 5.x to 6.x incur a price of 50% of the retail price. We also provide free upgrades from one major point release to the next if you have purchased within the last 3 months of release. Minor Upgrades If you currently own Pocket Informant 5.xx and want to upgrade to a newer version of 5.xx - just simply download the latest installer and install over your current installation. Its that simple with no validation necessary. Applicable to non-OEM releases only. |

Looks like Webis needs to present an upgrade soon, since DeveloperOne has just announced Agenda Fusion 7:
Agenda Fusion 7 now includes a powerful and easy-to-use project management view. The new projects view in Agenda Fusion makes it easy to group your contacts, tasks, appointments and documents in one convenient place. Time tracking and reporting make this new feature ideal for submitting time reports, tracking consulting time and more. |
