How to get books from a reader in Calibre?
Hello,
a friend lent me his Kindle full of books.
How can I get those books into my Calibre?
I only use it the other way round

If the books were sideloaded, you should be able to see them in Device view in calibre. If they are downloaded from Amazon, they are inaccessible.

OTOH, you might want to consider that if the books are under copyright, what you are suggesting is ebook piracy which is not condoned on MobileRead. So unless your "friend' lent you a Kindle full of public domain books, this is likely to be the only reply you get.

If they are synced from Amazon, chances are they'll be KFX and it won't work pulling them from that Kindle.

No no, these are all public books downloaded via Calibre. No Amazon books. No Piracy
If I connect this Kindle I can see all the books in My Calibre, but I have no idea how to import them

Switch to device view (in Calibre): Select what you want: right-click: Add to Library
