Paid job for new scripting?
This is what i want to have:
I watch the list of books and mark one or more. Then i press: "1" - all the marked books are copied to the library example_name or "2" - all the marked books are copied to the library example_name2 or At the moment i do this with "right-click", choose "copy to", choose "copy to library name and delete" and i really hate it. Maybe you can program this? Then write me and let me know, what i should pay for such a function. Thank you. |

You should be able to do this already with the action chains plugin, maybe send the plugins author a small donation as a thank you, if he accepts them.

Thank you very much. My problem is the time needed to do such things.
Thats why i am looking for someone who could do that for me: Where: List of books What: marked books Aktion: Press keyboard 1-0 Result: Copy marked books to a library connected to the pressed key. ---------------------- Also nice: Where: List of books What: marked books Aktion: Press {key} Result: Change Title and Author (care for sorts) ---------------------- Also nice: option to care for the sort_fields Whenever saving a book after pressing "e", just care for the sort_fields ---------------------- Also nice: If ten shown pages are not enogh to find a cover picture, fetch the next ten! (Happens sometimes with books scanned by google, when there are ten pages befor the cover page) Last edited by Robert9; 08-05-2022 at 12:03 PM. |

You can do this with the Reading List plugin. You select the book you want for one list and then select the books you want for the other list. Then you display one list and copy them all to the library you want. You can then delete them. Then do the same for the next library and done.

I dont believe, that this is a good way. Just imagine 100.000 books from the years 1450 till 1945 with the goal to move them in ten different libraries. The best way to go on with this is not to walk trough from start to end working for one list. The best way is to find small crowds and move them away. Just believe me, i have sorted another 100.000 books in the last years.
The energy to find some of the rare books for some libraries should be used immediately. While you look for politics and find something about poems, just move away the politics, move away the poems and go on with politics or something else that seems to come in another small crowd. This is just the knowdledge of my experince sitting here for so many hours. And so i need a way to move away marked books with one click. Last edited by Robert9; 08-05-2022 at 01:59 PM. |

Done! It was really easy and done in ten minutes. Thank you very much for that plug-in and the advice to use it.
