Using 6.1 on Win10/64 bit I thought I'd experiment with the new full text search (it's indexing as I type) If I decide that I really don't need the capability, Q1. how do I turn it off? Q2. is there a file I can delete? |

Q1. 1) Click "FT" on search bar 2) Click "Show indexing status button" which shows books indexed 3) Click "Index books in this library to allow searching their full text" to clear the checkbox 4) Click to confirm you want to do that. Q2. Just delete full-text-search.db from the calibre library folder (while calibre is not running). Source Kovid in this post https://www.mobileread.com/forums//s...13&postcount=2 |

Thanks 1 -- I had added the FT icon to my toolbar, and didn't think about something so obvious as unchecking it 2 -- I was looking in my config folder (habit I guess) All is good |
