Firmware Update Jailbroken PW3 autoupdated. Any possible fix?

Hello,

I use my jailbroken kindle PW3 as a “literary clock”. I was away for a while and house sitter unplugged it to use USB charger and the battery ran down so the clock was wrong.

KUAL was working, but couldn’t get time right, so I turned on wifi. I should have turned it off immediately, but didn’t think autoupdates would
come to quickly.

I am now on 5.14.3.01 and KUAL does not work.

I read in another thread saying that since I was jailbroken previously, there might be hope? Is that true? I could not find any more information about that.

1) Install jailbreak hotfix package (from snapshots thread) using "Update Your Kindle" UI option

2) re-install KUAL by copying its bin installer (also downloaded from the snapshots thread) to "mrpackages" folder and after disconnecting Kindle from your PC run the installer by typing ;log mrpi into search bar and doing a search.

3) add and start using "renameota" KUAL extension and block future OTA updates from downloading when using WiFi. That blocking option inside KUAL's helper menu doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for your reply.

I've tried it several times and still got an error 007 while updating. My device used to have a working jailbreak. The hotfix worked every time these years, but with no luck this time.
