Insert Tag: separate two sections by a small space to minimise user error

The "Insert Tag" icon has two sections directly adjacent to each other. The one on the left allows you to create a new tag pair; the one on the right allows you to apply a tag pair to a selcted block of text.

IME, it is all too easy to accidentally select the wrong half of the icon due to the proximity of the two halves.

SUGGESTION: Separate the two halves by a small space and have a separate tool tip for each. This will prevent the user accidentally clicking on, say, "create a tag" when s/he really wants to "apply a tag".

Insert tag is a single button. If you left click it you get a popup asking you what tag you want if you right click it or left click the arrow next to it you get a list of previously used tag names. Both ways have exactly the same effect.

But there is a crucial difference: the two halves work in complementary ways. If you left-click on the right-hand half of the icon, you get a list of tags; if you left-click on the left-hand half of the icon you get a box into which you enter a tag name. But IME it is easy to left-click the wrong half by mistake – opening the entry box, when you really intended to click on the right half to unfurl the list.

its just as easy to press esc/undo and click the correct half after.
