Corrupted cc.db? Missing Dictionaries collection
After jailbreaking my KOA3 on fw 5.13.1, I noticed Goodreads wasn't able to load properly (not sure if it's related to the JB or not).
It would ask me to select my favorite genres, but then it said "No genres." without any selectable options. I've tried rebooting a few times thinking it's a glitch, and then I tried deregistering the device, but then all my books (including KUAL and the default Dictionaries folder) disappeared. I recreated the empty KUAL.kual file inside the documents and luckily it works. But I'm wondering how I could restore the Dictionaries folder. A full factory reset seems a bit overkill. Is it possible that the /var/local/cc.db got somehow corrupted? If I go into Settings, I can open and download the dictionaries I need from there, but they appear as a regular collection folder in the library. It should be also possible to create a KUAL module to remove and restore this folder as needed, which might be useful for some. Has anyone come across these issues? I can imagine, that this bug was one of the reasons why the 5.14.3 has been recalled. |

Regarding the dictionaries, did you try re-registering?

I've reregistered the device and it has stayed the same. On my homescreen I now have a Dictionaries folder which has two items, a dictionary that I've sideloaded via Calibre and an Oxford one I got from Amazon. Before that I went into Settings / Language & Dictionaries / Dictionaries where it said 'No Dictionaries Found, Go to Dictionaries'. That button sent me to the 'Regular' Dictionaries Collection that comes by default.
I do think it's some kind of glitch, I'm just not sure how to fix it. |

I admit I'm a dumbass, the solution was to switch from the "downloaded" view to the "all" view in the top left corner...
