Merge

Once the books are already within Calibre, is there a way to merge all the different formats into just one name?
I know that before I updated Calibre, my books were listed as one name in multiple formats and now they are not. Is there anyway that I can make that happen again?

On the Edit the metadata dialog, drag-drop your alternative book format on the format arena.
Be careful to validate! More than once I've been tricked into forgetting and redoing the operation.

Merge is a built in feature of the main GUI
Select the first book (this is the target record)
hold the control key, select additional, same title books (different format).
tap M

THERE IS NO UNDO once you confirm the Merge

Assuming there are many books:

I would move the the books with the formats I want to merge from 'My Library' to 'Another Library' via the Copy to library (delete after Copy) tool.
I'd then ensure my Add books->Actions settings were set to merge books (read the tooltips).
Then I'd copy the books from 'Another Library' to 'My Library' using Copy to library tool
Assuming all goes well I would remove 'Another Library' from calibre and hard delete it.
