Font not displayed in Libra 2

Hoping someone could tell me why a particular font is not working in the Kobo Libra 2.

I have The Lord of the Rings and I removed most of the images that displayed elvish fonts and runes, and used fonts instead. The Dwarvish Runes displays ok. But the Elvish script will not display.

This is the elvish font I have used... https://www.dafont.com/tengwar-annatar.font

Three images below as follows:
1. Kindle Previewer
2. Calibre E-book viewer
3. Kobo Libra 2.

Images 1 & 2 confirm I have embedded the font correctly, but for some reason the Libra 2 won't display it. Does anybody know why and how to fix?

Thanks

Kobo doesn't show Tengwar in epub (I couldn't get it to display). Kepub will display... Just convert the file or rename it.

I played with embedded the Tengwar Annatar font. With an epub version, I could select any font but with kepub, I needed to use Default Publisher font to display the Tengwar script.

Edit: attached my test epub.

Thanks @DNSB, your epub file does, indeed display the elvish script in an epub file on the Libra 2

So I have removed the single font from my own file, copied your 4 font files across, modified the css and all displays correctly in the calibre viewers. But once I load into the Libra 2, it does not work and I end up with what is in my image above.

I cannot see where the difference is between your file and mine. Do you have time to look at it?

Thanks @Semwize, firstly I want to try figure out why it does not work in epub when @DNSB has already shown it does. If I can't get it to work, I'll resort to your method.

After looking at Karellen's epub, the issue appeared to be with the blockquotes around the Tengwar display of the one ring quote. If I removed the blockquote which is not really needed for a centred text, it worked. If I added the font-family declaration to a class used for the blockquote, it also worked. For kepub, you still need to use the publisher default font (or start playing with the patches).

Well found. I wonder what it is about the blockqute that cases the problem.

Thanks @DNSB for taking the time to look at it. I'll be a bit more wary with the blockquote tag.

That isn't the case here. I took your book, duplicated the blockquote and its contents and then removed the class from the first one. Both show the Tengwar font correctly on my Aura H2O running 4.32.19501. My first try was just changing the extension, but, doing either a conversion to kepub or using the extended driver had no effect.

But, I do remember hitting a problem with styles in kepubs some time ago. It was caused by the extra two divs added to each file. It meant that one of the tags didn't have the expected class inheritance or whatever.
