Just tried checking some things on https://calibre-ebook.com/ and my browser says it's down. Checked on isitdownrightnow.com and it says it's down for everyone. Just thought I'd pass it on.

I noticed the same thing when I went to download the 5.41.0 update. A couple of is a website available sites said it was down for them too.

Being an impatient type, I downloaded it from https://www.fosshub.com/Calibre.html

I had the FossHub site linked as one of the alternate download sites listed on calibre-ebook.com so I think I was being cautious enough.

I could have downloaded the installers from Kovid's Github site under releases but I preferred not to stress his bandwidth when I am not having fun running calibre from source.

should be

"When creating a custom column for real numbers (float) allow specifying the number of decimal digits that can be entered."
