PDF to epub conversion glitch - To developers

Hello,

This is not really a question, rather a glitch I've noticed when converting PDF files.

If the text contains - * * *
The conversion skips a bit resulting in bare text in the epub.

ie:
He quickly wrote her a note, grabbed a jacket, and slipped down the stairs, out into the night. 
* * * 
The evening air felt cool and clean. He thrust his hands in the pockets of his old field jacket and began to walk quickly through the hybrid neighborhood, heading roughly northeast. 

If you notice, the line following the * * * divider has the format after the text rather than before.
I have found this happening in numerous conversions, so it has something to do with the conversion, not the PDF.

There is nothing wrong. PDF is NOT a linear format. You will find those stars (scene breakers) someplace else in the conversion, because that was WHEN they were added in the 'paste up' timeline.

That is not an issue, text placed outside of a paragraph is.

I realize PDF is a screwy format. At the same time, it will convert 200 pages without a hitch from a decently formatted PDF, unless there are those stars, then it always messes up the line after it.

If the upcoming change to the format conversion fixes that, its all good.

Where did this PDF come from? There's no legal eBook of The Year's Best Horror Stories XVIII.

Now Jon, be nice. Perhaps the OP downloaded the PDF from Scribd or other site that did not let them know that they were violating the copyright.
