Very slow Metadata Download on Mac
I don't know since when it started. The Metadata Download is VERY slow on Mac (Calibre 5.37). In order to speed it up, I have to restart my Mac (Air M1, 12.2). After restart the Metadata Download goes normal but after a while, it gets worse.
I have to restart my MacBook frequently, so that Metadata Download does work as it should.

No ideas?

Calibre Cache? Configuration issues? What kind of other Software could cause this behavior?

typically security/antivirus software, but I have never used macs, so no real clue what the software landscape there looks like. calibre does not do any caching for metadata downloads. And no configuration issue is likely to manifest as a slowdown over time.
