Mind you .... this is the actual natural color of the sand ... nothing retouched here ... and no, it's not snow. It's sand.

I promise .... I won't post anymore photos. Once I get started, it's hard to stop ... I love photography so much.

I've just come here from another thread, and so the first thing that comes to mind is that the MOON shot and the LIGHTNING shot would make great Kindle screensavers! With room to add the ownername. They'd display sideways, but that's not really a problem.

Well, maybe I'll try converting them to low level gray scale images. See how they turn out and then offer them to y'all for that purpose.

Oh ... she's at the Rainbow Bridge now?? My cats, dogs, bunnies and ferrets group will have to have a party to welcome her (if they haven't had one already). Those things are a blast, although I'm sure you miss her.

Very long lens with an ultra stable tripod would be my guess.

And you would be correct, pshrynk. Good eye.

Long lens, stable tripod, and fairly fast film. I didn't want to over expose the moon because that puppy can really burn a hole in the final photo when it's that bright.

Blown up it is easier to see the grain resulting from use of that sort of film, but at this size, it's not quite as evident.
