I have a Kobo Aura (old ereader from around 2017)
The Nickel OS I am using is version 4.7.10413 I just realized that it has no image viewer of any kind. I only have the default FILE viewer that is opening everything as a book. In the case of images, it is opening the image like it is a book, and I have to close the image, browse for the next one, open it, and so on. Bwwaaaaggh. All that I need is a basic image file viewer, with back and forward between images that I keep in the same folder anyway. If it has a zoom capability is great, and if it has a menu or preview for a couple of images, is awesome. But simple as back-forward is excellent to have. Im really not pretentious. I already searched for an image viewer and I find NOTHING ! My ask from you is if you know about an already made software that I can add/install into my ereader, or a script of some sort, that I can inject/modify...im not that great at this last part, but Ill do my best. Im after any options possible. Thank you ! Last edited by q12x; 01-15-2022 at 03:14 PM. |

Sorry, but, that is how the image viewer works. But, if you put the images into a zip file, rename it to have the extension "cbz", they will be treated as comic books. When you open this, you can page through the images.
I don't know if KOReader or Plato handle images in other ways. |

- Ohoho, this is very good, mister @davidfor! I did what you told me, I made a zip file, rename its extention as .cbz, loaded it into my ereader and I can flip through the images as it is a book.
This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you very-very much ! It lacks the search capability (inside this cbz file)... I find a menu option that is called "Table of contents" but aaaaah, it only shows page1,page2, and so on, but not the file names of each img, that I specifically name them correctly to find them easy. The general search, can find the specific name file very well, but for each individual file, like before, open it, look at it and close it, and search for another img and so on. Are there other formats I should try? maybe they have a more elegant search method inside them? Just asking. Ideally, is to put every img file inside a folder, and get the search and previsualization and scrolling through imgages, right from the start. Hmmm... eh well. I tried using a simple .zip inside as well and it does not recognize it. Again, thank you very much so far you saved my ass. Excellent idea with the new package format. |
