Jailbreak question for '21 Paperwhite
Hiya- I would like to give a friend a '21 Paperwhite, and set her up to sideload books via Calibre. It would also be great to be able to email .mobi files to the device. I have a few questions.

1. Can I prevent automatic updates? I don't want her to get an update which prevents sideloading.

2. Should I just tell her to turn off wi-fi indefinitely and sideload everthing?

Any advice much appreciated. thanks!

There is no jailbreak for the PW5 and the only way to prevent updates on it is to keep wifi off.

There's no jail break for the new Kindle. However, Amazon has never prevented side loading books as far as I know, so you don't need to worry about that. Keep it on wifi if you don't want your Kindle updated. And yes that's pretty much the only way You can always update manually

keep wifi on surely you mean off? airplane mode is the way to go if you don't want unwanted updates.
