best ereader for library reads?

I was going to buy an inexpensive epub reader for occasional use (Open Library, etc), but I'm hating the kindle update so much, I'm wondering if I should go all out and switch back to epub entirely. I really value the ease of library borrowing with the kindle, though. I have an idea that kobo makes library books easier now, is that true?

So, all current Kobo models have Overdrive support built into the software. You add your library details and that's pretty much it. Your cheapest option looks to be the Nia, but personally I'd pay a little more for the Clara HD.

Kobo makes it very easy to borrow Overdrive books. Once you set up your library overdrive account (login) the Overdrive books show up in your Kobo store (you use the Overdrive filter). The requirement is that the ISBN number in the Kobo store and the library must match. If they don't you'll need to borrow the book via ADE (or the DeASCM plugin in Calibre for me, since I use Linux). I bring this up because it does happen sometimes -- but it hasn't happened to me yet, so I don't know how common this issue is.

The issue rcentros mentioned seems to affect some people more than others. I'm guessing it has to do with the specific books you like to read.

Tolino teaders also have Overdrive library access. I know there are some Android e-ink readers that have it too but I'm not familiar with any of those.

I find using an e-ink reader to browse the library too slow and clunky. Usually if I'm away from my home computer I will use my phone to browse and borrow a book. Then once it's in my Overdrive loans I'll sync it to my Kobo or access my loans in my Tolino.

Well, honestly, I mostly use the PocketBook or Tolino for Overdrive borrowing, so if I used the Kobo more often I might run into this issue. If I remember right, you bought the Tolino Shine 2 specifically because of this problem. So obviously it is an issue for some.
