Books in an archive folder
I noticed that a couple of my books are in an archive folder such as:
/Users/howardjbrazee/Calibre Library/_Archived Items/Harry Harrison/Deathworld (5719) I don't know why that is so. How can I move these to a more logical place? |

Let me Guess...
This is a Cloud (connected) folder. You have already damaged your Calibre Library. ONLY CALIBRE can move files around WITHIN a Library. Calibre has no Archived mode, leading me to come to the conclusion that some Cloud or cleaner app has moved things ![]() |

I have seen mentions of a Mac program called ChronoSync creating folders with that name.
Use calibre's Library Maintenance / Check Library feature to see what has been damaged/lost. |

I do have ChronoSync, and use it to synchronize my Calibre with my wife's.
I ran maintenance check and have hundreds of invalid titles, dozens of extra titles, hundreds of extra files, and more errors. I don't want to delete books because they have invalid titles. Most of those invalid titles are author names. I did a search for one of them, and did not find matches in the titles, but found that the name of the .epub has the author's name in it. |

OK, how do I get Calibre to move the book to where it should be? I guess I could delete it and re-load it. I expect that would delete any history.
