Fix text moving to the left

I tried converting some epubs into kepubs, and in some books I see the following issues:

• subheaders between chapters are moved from the center to the left
  
  
  
  
• font is smaller than in the majority of kepubs at the same settings

Here are my conversion settings:











How can I fix those, especially text moving to the left?

Open your ebook in the editor.

Find the problem headings and make note of the html code surrounding them.

Look up the code in the stylesheet.css file. Can you see a problem there?

I checked the HTML from the ebook above, and it has the following code:

<p class="tyt-1">1948–1989</p> 			<p class="tyt-2">1.</p>

The styles sheet has the following setting:

	font-family: AlegreyaSansSC;
	font-size: 1.6em;
	margin-bottom: 1em;
	text-align: center;
	text-indent: 0em;
}

.tyt-2{
	font-family: AlegreyaSansSC;
	font-size: 1.6em;
	font-style: normal;
	font-weight: bold;
	margin-bottom: 1em;
	margin-top: 2em;
	text-align: center;
	text-indent: 0em;

How can I ensure text allignment stays in place?

What happens if you don't convert, but use the KoboTouch Extended Driver to send your books as kepubs?

I had the same problem and I seem to remember that I solved the problem patching the kobo using `Un-Force user text-align in div,p tags in KePubs`in libnickel

Would there be no way to exclude that in Calibre conversion settings? When it comes to the patch, could you direct me to some more details?

What's interesting is that subheaders are moved to the left only if the justification is active on the device. When I turn it off, subheaders come back to the center.

The issue is that if you choose an alignment on your Kobo, like left or justified, then all text will be aligned that way, even the centered text. If you don't want to patch, then you can specify the alignment during conversion and leave it unselected on the device.

That seems counter-intuitive to me, when I select justification, why would the text go to the left. Anyway, where can I find the patch you mentioned?
