Is there a way to display a clock on a kindle screensaver?

(Have not looked through the forum much, so not sure if there is any way to.)
Any way i can display real time-time on my kindle for a screensaver?

Nope, the device is alseep when showing a screensaver. Showing a clock would defeat that purpose.

(Unless you came up with a highly over-engineered solution with scheduled rtc wakealarms+suspend every minute, which would only be marginally better).

So, could there be any way to get the timing shown on the kindle if the screen is on? Like a smartphone

It's not a good idea. I once got the Utility Kit Active Content on my Kindle Touch, because it includes a timer, but when I used it, it would drain the battery much more quickly, because it would be updating the screen much faster than I would by turning pages. While I still use Utility Kit for other things, I stopped using it as a timer. So, even if you got this to work, displaying a clock on your screen saver would drain your battery faster than you would by reading books.
