when opening a book, the program doesn't switch to the viewer automatically. I remember there's a tweak making it automatic, but I can't find it.
Anyone has an idea? |

If I type V (for View) in calibre, the viewer opens with focus.(note I do have the tweak for clicks on a selection to do Nothing) You maybe doing too many clicks, then the focus goes back to the library. You can also try the Read Icon (book with glasses). 1 click (sounds like something out of Hunt for Red Octobre) |

thanks. hotkey v does work, as well as double clicking the mouse. the problem occurred because I used a autohotkey script to replace double click with a hotkey.

Another Approach: If your operating system is Windows, set the calibre book viewer as the default program for the type of file(s) you want to open. Once set, just click on any instance of that file type to open. If the viewer has been set to remember window size and position, and where you last left off, you should be good to go.

1. open a book in the viewer;
2. right click within the document. This should display the viewer menu; 3. select Preferences; 4. select Miscellaneous, 5. check box for first item, "Remember last used window size and position"; 6. click the "OK" button at the right-hand of the screen; 7. exit and re-enter the viewer to test a screen size. For instance, I like the viewer maximized for reading before exiting. |
