Screensaver Not Updating Itself
Hello everyone,
First of all, I looked online for a solution for this, but either I can't see it or there is none. The problem is that my screensaver never updates itself. It always shows a book I opened in the past, and that book shows up as the first one on top left when I open Home screen. If I set that book as unread, it goes to the next one as screensaver and so on. This sounds nice, but the problem is, those books at top left are NOT books that I read the last! I know maybe I can go through that list and finally stop at the one I want, but that will require me to mark many books as unread and that's not what I want. Opening another book never sets is as last read, so the screensaver is never updated too. The device is on latest official firmware. Nothing custom. There must be an easier way to do this. If you know of a way please let me know. Last edited by Majorix; 09-17-2021 at 08:09 AM. |

That sounds like something that happened to me when I set the date incorrectly. I set it to a year in the future, and opened a book. After I corrected the date, the book was the first on the list. And as it was a book from Kobo, the status synced and kept syncing. And the status is always taken from the latest date, which in this case was the one from the future. The solution was to archive the book until I reached that future date.
The same would also happen if the current date was in the past. The alternative is that the database on the device is corrupt. That means the reading status will not be updated properly and newly opened books will lose their reading status when the database is reread. From what you are saying, I don't think that is happening, but, it could be the cause. |
