Dumb customizing question

In Calibre > preferences > saving books to disk > save template, I have several old (no longer needed) templates which show up in the drop-down box next to template editor. I would like to remove those which are no longer in use, but I have not figured out how to do so. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not for the novice:
BACKUP before you start.

Edit gui.py.json (in the config folder)
Histories are there
