Dark mode: Selection colour in 5.26

Is there a way to get back the old darker blue selection colour? I'm having trouble reading some of the text in the book list with the new bright one.

The old one was lighter not darker. It was dark text on a light blue background. And it hid link text. The new one is light text on a dark background. If you have trouble reading that, is it because it is not dark enough?

It's a touch too bright. The contrast ratio gets even worse with the currently selected cell (using an eyedropper tool, 3.31:1 as compared to 5.21:1) though I didn't capture it properly in the first screenshot.

Hi, @Kovid.

Can't this be controlled by a tweak? Even the darker one is difficult for me. The old one was just perfect for me.

No, I am not going to make tweaks to control colors. You are welcome to adjust it in source for whatever you like.
