Hey,
I'm 26 years old, come from germany and i'm interested in programming & security related topics since i'm 11-12 years old. because this, i teached myself a lot of programming and scripting languages over the years and develope from time to time my own software (PC, Web, Android).. nothing big and "woah!", but enough to keep it interesting enough for me.
i'm also really interested in stuff like game hacking (hooking functions, patching software to add or modify functions etc.) and pentesting, security research (nothing fancy.. really basic stuff)

Kindle Devices i own:
- Kindle Fire 7"
- Kindle Paperwhite (PW4)

i'm mainly here in the forum because i wanted to find a jailbreak for my new kindle paperwhite i got around 2 weeks ago, but after finding out that you can create scripts, extensions etc. for it.. i'm now interested in that stuff too and try around with them. i even created now my first extension for my paperwhite.. and i really like the freedom it gives you to have a jailbreak.

If you're interested in patching and modifying your devices, then Kobo readers are very hacking-friendly. No jailbreak needed at all.

i looked at the Kobo readers when i informed myself about E-Readers with E-Ink, but decided that it would be just too expensive for me - because that i did choose a Kindle Paperwhite around 2 weeks ago. i currently don't have a job so i can't just buy a expensive device like a Kobo

And after having my paperwhite now for around 2 weeks, i'm really happy with it. I use it daily 2-4 hours to read books and mangas and stopped completly with addicting social network browsing on my smartphone while laying in bed. usually i always did watch hours youtube, opening reddit etc. before sleeping.. and it really was a pain, but since i now have my kindle i just read and then relax really well - i thinking buying a kindle paperwhite is the best decision i made the whole year. Kobo would be probably have been fine too, but the price was too expensive so.. a paperwhite is fine too
