Can't edit 3rd Party book titles

Apologies if I'm in the wrong section.
I DL a lot of books from random sites on the net. When I send them to my Kindle the book title is a row of numbers. I can edit this to read correctly in Calibre Library but it doesn't alter it on my device. That still shows as numbers.

MR does not permit help with suspected piracy. Please don't do it.

Is it possible you forgot to process your ASCM file with Digital Editions?
DRM encumbered files can only be read on registered (to the same owner of the file) devices.
