onyx boox color storage abysmal

I wanted to buy an onyx boox color but effective 20 gb are miserable to download magazines and heavy pdf in 2021. Do you know when the new color model will hit the market? Hope with an sd card

Boox devices have not had an SD port for a long time.
And USB OTG requires FAT32.

Well still 64 gb should then be the minimum with color in my quite knowleadgeable user opinion

It's a raw block interface.
You should be able to run any file system you like (with a bit of effort).

For color, I use a $ 60 Chinese Android tablet

This effort is generally not worth it to me, especially because there are devices from other manufacturers that can do this out of the box.

There is one exception: I would like to use it for my Boox Note Air, but I do not know how to get direct access from applications.
Paragon does not offer me a solution.

Is the problem that your application uses sdcard as the path root?
Depending on how it's mounted the path starts somewhere else.

I don't consider an external flash drive acceptable as full time storage.
The Glow2, 3, 4 with soldered-in SD card is a better solution.
I didn't find anything for the Poke3.

I would like to be able to use Kiwix with offline Wikipedia (38 GB) and have not found a possibility with Boox devices - even if I split this file into Fat32 parts.
With Likebook it is not a problem: either on NTFS in the SD tray, or on an NTFS stick in the USB OTG.

Do not know you folks, but to me an external sd means also backing up all my books if the device get broken.
Anyway i broke my old ereader and now need a new one definitely a color one because i like to see the covers and highlight my books in different colors. Do you know if a new model is coming soon? If not i am gonna buy a cheap ereader with sd card. I use mon plus reader but can highlight also from sd card if i do it on the reflow text. A feature i preyed the developer wifh weekly emails and that is present since 7 years

The PocketBook InkPad Color has an SD card slot.

Yeah, that may well be the best solution. I think it actually comes with one, but I've never used it.
