Can't add book / can't open database
I ran into this when trying to add a book to my library. The same error happens when I try to open an existing book in my library, but then the book does open.

Check that that entire folder has full rights (not just read only)
Note: your A/V might have blocked write access to your documents folder. Calibre now installs NEW libraries into the level above, <your user name> You could try and move it USING THE OS (Calibre NOT running), then use Calibre to link to the new location. right click the Library icon: Create/Switch: USE EXISTING |

Ah, you're right. It's the Controlled Folder Access on Windows 10. I enabled it last month and completely forgot about it. Thank you so much.
