Plugin to Split Books

Is there another plugin besides EpubSplit that splits books into different files? This one only supports Epub2, and apparently books are only converted to Epub3 in Calibre now.

Alternately, is there way to specify I want the book to convert to an Epub2 file instead?

Preferences: Output options: EPUB (sidebar): EPUB Version: 2

Note: If you have converted the book to EPUB before, be sure toALSO change this at the start of the conversion Calibre remembers previously used settings PER BOOK
