Calibre crash when deleting a book on my NAS

Hi,
I don't know why but when I try to delete a book from the library that I have on my NAS Calibre will always crash.
After opening it back the book is gone from the library but it's still in the folder. Using "check" library Calibre is then able to clean the folder, so I don't think there is a permission issue.
The path is "\\192.168.1.100\...\Books".

there is any way to solve this issue?

Remove your library from the NAS.

The usuall answer to your issue is when it will happen.

I have everything on my NAS for a reason. I never had any issue apart from that.

The problem is that using a NAS is explicitly not a supported configuration, so if you have problems you have to prove you would get the same issue if not using the NAS.

It is perfectly acceptable for simple file usage.
Calibre is a Hybrid database. It has a (SQL)DB the stores File paths (the books and covers). These MUST stay in sync (as a transaction).
Network devices can buffer things , introduce delays that Calibre was not designed to handle.
This does not make a NAS (or other network share) bad, just not the tool/accessory to use with Calibre (except it is a great for library backup).
A shadow copy (-> only) on the NAS is OK as long as it does not lock files in the main Library (I stop Calibre, use free file sync, then restart calibre )

I've been using a Windows network share for years without a single problem. But that is not a NAS. It works like a regular hard drive. I do backup my libraries and I've only had to fix a library database once.

I wouldn't put too much faith in a Windows network share, other than "you've been lucky thus far". I'd say the same for a NAS. Or a Linux server with NFS. Or Google Drive.

I don't like the fact that Calibre does not play nicely with remote storage. But that's how things are. How that remote storage is implemented appears irrelevant from everything I've read about Calibre. So the "my remote storage is better than your remote storage" game is fun to watch as a spectator, but I wouldn't want to be a player. The "I've never had a problem" anecdotes are fun to read, as if they somehow imply that there will never be a problem.

I would love to implement remote storage for my Calibre instance. But I have come to accept that this would be a bad thing. So I don't do it. I replicate remotely, and backup, but that is all done only after Calibre has been shut down cleanly.

Google Drive will mess up the library rather quickly, as it'll strip the (xxxx) suffixes on the book folders -- something about versioning I think.

And how many people say exactly the same thing about a NAS? Honestly, you are lucky. I'd trust a decent NAS over Windows share any day. Unless you are actually using a Windows server for the host rather than a handy PC running whatever version of Windows that was on it.

But, you also contradict yourself. You state "without a single problem" but you have also had to fix the database. Which is it? No problems or some problems?
