PocketBook 627 Touch Lux 4 vs Amazon Kindle 2020
Hi, I want buy my first ebook reader.
I can't decide between the two devices. The only essential requirement is backlighting, I can get the rest. Both devices are up to date for the same price. PocketBook 627 Touch Lux 4 vs Amazon Kindle 2020 (without ads) |

Kindles won't read epub files which is a shame but you can get round that by converting books to the Kindle format then sideloading them. If you buy a lot of your books from Amazon the Kindle is an attractive option, It's very user friendly.

Has a very good "sister" Android app (which also allows you to read DRM ePubs). Has the Send-To-PocketBook feature. Even has a few games... Chess, Klondike and Sudoku (not that I play these games but some might want to). The PocketBook also supports somewhere around 17 book formats (though I always use ePub anyhow). If Kobo is out of the running then I would go for the Pocketbook over the Kindle. The Pocketbooks is better in so many ways.
