Smile [FOUND] Cheap stylus replacement for Boox Note Pro

Hi,

The inevitable happened and I lost my stylus for Boox Note Pro. A quick look around the Internet revealed that these things are not cheap!

I wasn't ready to spend up to £50 for a replacement (even though the top of the range pens look nice, but would it work with my reader?) so I took a chance, went on ebay and bought something advertised as Digitizer Stylus Pen For Fujitsu T730 T732 T900 T901 T726 T5010 Lifebook.

It looks like this:

It's the bottom one (the middle one is a stylus that came originally with Boox N96ML).

It cost me £6 delivered and most importantly it works! The button on a side and the eraser both work too. The eraser has to be actually depressed to work, just touching the screen does not activate it.

The pen's length is 13.4cm. I needed to go through calibration process as it was a bit off but seems to be working fine now. The side button rattles a bit and the whole thing has a cheap feel to it but for the price I'm not going to complain. I hope it won't stop working after a day

If you are interested this is the ebay listing I got mine from. I'm going to get another one to have a backup now!

any wacom EMR pen should work. i have heard of sometimes people having an issue with the cursor being offset, but I've used many different pens interchanging them between devices and never had an issue

As long as you know that the pen you are buying is Wacom EMR, which from my recent experience is seldom specified. Even the specs for ereaders will normally simply state that there is 'a stylus' included.

Then there is the 'should' part. For example, I don't know what kind of stylus is used with M96 or N96ML but neither works with Note Pro.

Given the price these items are sold at, I'd rather know exactly what stylus will work with my device.

3rd party pens will always specify if they are EMR or will say what devices they support. If it says something like replacement pen for galaxy note then you know its EMR. If its not a 3rd party pen then you just look at what device the pen is for and see if its an EMR device.

if its not an emr pen it will say "active stylus". so yes, you can always tell what you are buying

Would it be okay to ask, if pressure sensitivity is okay with this pen and if it needs a lot of pressure to be recognised? Lost my note pen a few days ago and just saw this. It looks like a nice pen. It looks more expensive than stock pen imo, even though for this price.
