My notes show only one issue relevant to the Libra Colour, Clara Colour and Clara BW that was addressed in this update and that was already covered in the What's New item.

Addresses an issue that prevented credit card information from being added or updated on your eReader when completing purchases.

Improves stability of Kobo Libra 2's connection to Kobo Remote

As I said, one issue relevant to the devices that will get the 4.45 update. The Libra 2 got a early release in the 4.38.23648 release.

Oddly, Patrick's firmware download page now shows 4.38.23684 for all the older Kobo devices still receiving updates other than the Kobo Mini and the Libra 2. Modifying the URL to replace kobox by kobo9 seems to download 4.38.23684 for the Libra 2.

Hi,
I am new to the kobo game, and quite frankly confused (and gemini is as well ).
I managed to convert my tolino vision color to kobo and now I am on kobo firmware 5.15.
Tried to downgrade to 4.45 (to get nickel menu and koreader running) but no chance. Got a nasty boot loop with the downgrade package update.tgz and patching version file and downloading the 4.45 on the device did not work as well.
Please help me.

You can only downgrade to the version your device originally shipped with. If it was 5.15, then you can't downgrade any lower than that.

I believe Kobo firmware version 5.15 is related to this release: https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...atures-Support

Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see the section "Restore Software to previous version." You will most likely have to restore to the previous version and then upgrade to 4.45.

Take a look at this report about updating to the new firmware, not very promising... :

Kobo Clara Color - upgraded firmware yesterday and now Calibre sideloads get stuck at 6% even after Factory reset. Can I use old manual backup, or downgrade firmware, or any way to fix this?
