How to zoom

Hello ! I've been searching for hours how I could zoom when I read a pdf or any image based book. I feel stupid because I don't see any answer on that on the web, so I guess everyone has found the way ^^; Still, this reader is clearly awesome, but considering I read a lot of pdf depicting tiny things ( like knitting schemes ), it would help a lot if I could find a way to zoom.
Thanks in advance !

IMHO you are better of using a dedicated PDF app (Adobe Reader?) Calibres viewer is really EPUB, it converts on the fly.

Preferences: Behavior: remove the tic next to pdf ON THE RIGHT SIDE
(assumes you fav a PDF viewer registered in your OS)

Thank you very much for your input. I would prefer to see all my books in a single viewer, moreover the problem goes on with comic book formats like CBR, and I really don't want to have an app for each file extension... or maybe I should change my library managment tool, but I don't know if there is one that can handle all those files

I'll back @theducks recommendation for using external viewers for some formats. Calibre has to convert all formats to a common format before viewing. That is basically ePub. For PDF, it is unlikely to be a good conversion for even simple books. For comic books, the viewer does work, but, I think if you try one of the comic book readers, you would find it better. I have Cdisplayex installed which is simple and works for the occasions I need it.

But, in the viewer, if you right-click on the image, there is a "View image" option. That supports zooming and other functions.
