How to BUY books from Kobo??
Hello everyone,

Really hoping someone can assist here. I've bought a Kobo Clara HD recently, and it's working just fine. I have set up Overdrive and have borrowed my first book too.

But... how do you actually BUY books from Kobo?? Normally ebook companies are falling over themselves to sell to you. The Kindle Store and Apple Books are perfect examples of an easy-to-use ebook store.

Not so, it seems, with Kobo books. Whether on the desktop, iPad or the Kobo Clara itself, there seems no way to add payment details, which means I can't buy books. I find this quite extraordinary. Did/does anyone else have the same problem, and if so, how did they get around it?

What you do is go to kobo.com and log in. Then in the upper right, click on My Account and then Account Settings. Then click the Payment Information tab and you can setup your payment method.

I may be misremembering but I’m around 90% sure that the shop (which is hard to miss on the device UI) allows you to enter payment information.

I don't like buying from Kobo. OverDrive seems much more convenient.

I borrow from OverDrive when I can, but there’s a lot I’d like to read than OD doesn’t have.
