Question How to download ebooks to Calibre remotely

Hello everyone!

I'm a newish programmer and I'd like to give app making a try.

Something I've always wanted is to have an app or something that will directly add a epub to my library when I download it from AO3 on my phone or kindle.

As it is I end up opening dozens of tabs for fics to read later and then accidentally closing them.

I'm pretty sure no one has come up with a way to do this yet - is there a reason for that? Could more experienced programmers tell me where to.start on a project like this?

Id like it to work even when my calibre library isn't running on my computer, so I think it would need to involve some cloud based solution.

I dont see how its possible when calibre is not running, the best you can do in that scenario is add them to some dropbox or similar folder, and use it as an auto add folder in calibre, so when you start calibre they get added.

Otherwise, just run calibre in the cloud, the calibre content server allows you to add books and convert/read/etc via a web browser.
