Calibre window reset
Hello,
Since the 5.7.1 update, when I close and restart Calibre, the Calibre window forgets its size and position, resetting to default (too large for my screen). Is it a bug or some sort of mistake i made ? I'm running Windows 10 on a 4K monitor with the last Nvidia drivers. |

Are you using an installed (from MSI) 32bit or 64bit calibre, or the calibre Portable variant.
I ask because I have noticed Portable sometimes forgets the last window size and position, doesn't bother me because I only use Portable for 'special needs' - if it annoys me too much I throw it away and create another one. BR |

Nothing suspicious there, does it work if you start calibre as
calibre --ignore-plugins |

Yes, when I load calibre with calibre --ignore-plugins the size of the window is preserved... Now I suppose we must find the guilty plug-in...

Ok, I think I found the cause of the problem, and that's odd ! I have two monitors, and I launch calibre from a shortcut icon which is on my left desktop, whereas calibre window is on my right desktop... when i move the shortcut icon on my right desktop and launch calibre from there, the calibre window shape is correct !
I suppose it is a Windows 10 issue dealing with the 2 screens display...! Good to know ! |
