USB-C/Micro USB adapter for Kobo?
My Libra refuses to connect to my newest laptop (Dell) via two different USB-C/USB adapters. Which, I should mention, my Oasis has no problem with. Can anyone recommend a USB-C/micro USB adapter suitable for a Kobo? My Dell only has USB-C ports. There are various adapters available all over the net, but I'm not sure which of them (if any) would work with a Kobo.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pd_gw_unk&th=1 I'm only guessing, since this is what seems to work consistently for PhyrePhox when connecting to his Mac. Found in this thread... https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=288273 Quote:

Eh. More and more cables, hubs and adapters... when is it going to end? Not soon, I guess. ![]() |

I got one with my Pixel 2. Works great. So go buy a new Pixel 5 (but make sure it comes with the adapter).
And flash drives always come in handy; this one also has a C -> A adapter built in. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FGHZLHP Oops, sorry, that's going the wrong way. Maybe see if Samsung makes one that does A -> C. Oops, now I take that back. It looks like from the 5th picture that it does do A -> C. Anyhow, I have one on order and it should be arriving "any day now" so we'll know then. ![]() Last edited by hobnail; 12-18-2020 at 01:50 PM. |

The conversion is the wrong direction but I just used this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F63PXNX/ And this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085VT1VJT/ To install a nonstandard Raspberry Pi Linux onto a microsd card and it booted and runs like a charm. It looks like they make what you want. And that 5-in-1 hub looks like it could be handy. https://www.amazon.com/stores/Syntec...0-8A4B23149454 It was a bit of a Frankenstein setup; the microsd card reader was wide and the USB A ports on the laptop I was using are very close together. So I plugged the microsd card reader into the hub and plugged the ethernet cable into it and then used the converter to plug it into the laptop. |

maybe this is out of topic but maybe you face the same issue as I. Recently and suddenly my kobo aura one was not recognized by win10 anymore while glo hd had no issue.
After ... horrible time ... I got the following hint which help. Translated by Google, therefore the menu naming could be different. In short: deinstall the device with its driver, disconnect and connect again. Control Panel, Administration, in the right field: Computer Management, left: Disk Management, search for this “Disk”, right mouse button, Properties, Tab Driver, Uninstall device, tick remove driver. Unplug reader and reconnect. |

I got a USB hub for about €2 in a local "Euro bargain store". Though it's a USB A plug. A €3 model from a different store has a Micro USB socket.
I have a relative in a place that designs USB-C HW & SW, they think it's a mess of a design. |
