dmesg and syslog files in .kobo directory

I have a load of dmesg and syslog files in the .kobo directory of my Forma, almost 60 Mb. I don't know what they are for but I suppose some sort of logs. Is it safe to delete those manually?

Yes, is safe to delete those files. If you have a problem, Kobo might ask you to send it to them, but, they will only want a recent file.

Thank you David.
I wonder, do these files appear after switching developer mode on?
I switched this mode off and they don't seem to show up anymore.

Yes, the logging is enabled as part of developer mode. The latest log records will be written to the file each time you connect to the computer or with the option in the developer options screen.
