Can't open Calibre 5.7

Hello,

Sorry if this isn't the right place, but I have a problem:

I downloaded the last version of Calibre less than half-hour ago, I restarted my computer as asked, but since then I can't open Calibre.

I tried opening Calibre from everywhere I could think of (directly in the program file, try opening a book directly in the Viewer or the Editor etc...) but nothing work. It look like something is going on, for the first seconds, but then, nothing (there's no error windows or anything). It's so confusing that for a moment I thought there was a window, I just couldn't see it, but I searched, nothing.

I tried restarting my computer again, but there's no change...

Can someone help me? Am I the only one?

I fear that I'm going to have to uninstall calibre and re-download the 5.6 version for it to work again, and I really DON'T want to do that because, well, then I would have to parameter everything again and I have already done that less than a month ago when my computer crashed...

downgrading will not affect your books or settings in anyway. Although, there was a bug in 5.7.0 that affected calibre starting for a few people, however that would have shown you an error message, not nothing. And it has been fixed in 5.7.1 released yesterday.

I had the problem a few times when I accidentally left Calibre open in the background while installing and some of the files didn't properly replace. Running the Calibre installer and using the "Repair" option fixed it.
