Just A Thought...
I have a large number of ebooks and while putting them into categories helps I really wish I could put all books in a certain category in a named folder and just click that to access those books. If I could have just the folders appear at first that would be awesome. I wouldn't have to search and scroll as much to get to a particular category of books.

Or use a saved search. There are several ways you can group and sort your books in Calibre, much better and faster than just dumping them in a folder. And you won't have to scroll to find something.

In addition to virtual libraries and saved searches, you can create user categories as well. I use all three of these methods to organize my library.
