Libby plug in purpose?
Am I correct in understanding that the libby plug in basically downloads placeholders for books? You can view titles, return items, etc., but not actually open the books to read? When the description says it downloads " empty" books", that's my assumption. I can't really find much info on it.

The Libby plugin will open the library's web page for a borrowed book through which you can then download the ACSM file that in turn you can open and use the DeACSM plugin to actually download the ePub.

Seems like just downloading the epub from Libby would be easier? Am I missing something?

The plugin makes creating empty placeholders with the correct title/author/cover really easy. For books with long hold times it is nice to set tags etc while the book is at the front of my attention. Weeks later I don't have to struggle to remember who suggested it.

For books without a hold time, yeah, there isn't much to gain.
