Mass renaming books Title, given original File name as ISBN.
Hi! Thanks for a reply! I have a folder of books where each file is named from its isbn. Currently i used a python script from the net that create a output.txt file with the isbn >> path to book; each one on a line.
I can use calibre add by isbn. It works all fine! My Wish: 1. To get a list back with Title (extracted) >> path to book from Calibre after inputing original list. (Or other ways possible using external python scripts) 2. Script to rename back each file to Title (_Author/etc if possible).pdf (ext) 3. Import Cover+Description in a Calibre library with ONLY a symbolic link to original file location inside calibre library. (i know the author desire to have library inside calibre...issue). 3a. Kind of a script that during import of a book; instead of calling "copy", create symbolic link in each folder of book created by calibre import Fn. Reason Behind the Method: The issue being that i back up books on CDs and would like to keep a small physical library on C drive. I uses voidtools Everything/TotalCommander to search BOOKS in a static version of Everything loaded in parallel to PC Everything Version (by using the script from StartEverything.cmd and BASE_INI.ini obtained on the net) Thanks for considering my request and idea on how to proceed... |
