Kobo database version unsupported

Hi,

I'm getting the following error pop-up from Calibre 4.23 when I export an epub to my kobo clara:
Quote:
calibre, version 4.23.0
WARNING: Failed: Kobo database version unsupported - See details

Your Kobo is running an updated firmware/database version. As calibre does not know about this updated firmware, database editing is disabled, to prevent corruption. You can still send books to your Kobo with calibre, but deleting books and managing collections is disabled. If you are willing to experiment and know how to reset your Kobo to Factory defaults, you can override this check by right clicking the device icon in calibre and selecting "Configure this device" and then the "Attempt to support newer firmware" option. Doing so may require you to perform a factory reset of your Kobo.
Device database version: 161.
Device firmware version: (4, 24, 15676)
Export works fine, and I never use Calibre to delete books or manage collections, so I can live with this. But I would like to understand if it's the firmware or the database that's too new.

In case it matters, I have both the following plugins installed:
KoboTouch v.2.5.1
KoboTouchExtended v.3.4.1

Can anyone help?

Martin

Just follow the bolded instruction from your quoted error message. It's perfectly safe.

Thanks to both of you. Followed the instructions in bold and they worked - without my having to factory reset the clara (which I have never done, so was wary of).
