Boox Note Air 2 Plus Reading Settings

Anyone have good advice in adjusting settings ( in app) for the crispest most clear text with the least lag. I am assuming probably Normal Mode or Speed mode but even at normal mode I would like to make the text darker and the background lighter and page turning less laggy? if that's even possible.

I don't know. Is lag even noticeable?
In my reader if I hold down the page forward button it does 3-4 pages per second.
Of course that's the slowest speed.
The next page is always pre-processed and cached and ready to show immediately.

You can try to shift the gray values, but white doesn't get whiter and black doesn't get blacker.
By increasing the lighting you can increase the contrast numerically (white becomes more white than black to less dark gray) - in percentage terms it remains the same.
And in terms of speed, use another app that builds the image faster.
That's pretty much all you can do

I went ahead and reset the whole thing and started from scratch lol I like it a lot better now but reading seems to be better on an actual kindle device or on an actual Kobo device

The Note Air 2 has the writing foil on it, which is supposed to improve the writing experience, but reduces the image quality.
The image quality is better from the Note Air (1) and the Tab Ultra.

The image quality is great with notetaking and drawing it’s just when reading with the Nook or Kindle or KOBO apps

Those apps suck. Try something else, there are a ton of Android reading apps. Many of which are a lot better.

You can also turn off the animations in the developer options
