E-book viewer stuck loading

Im using calibre 5.3.0 on windows 10 and when i try to open any sort of EPUB/MOBI file it opens but the ebook viewer is stuck perpetually loading the file

run it from a command prompt as

calibre-debug -w file.epub

and post the output

Also try disabling hardware rendering as described here: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtwebengine-debugging.html

If the filename has spaces in it, enclose it in quotes

did that, opened up the epub that time but it just showed a bunch of text.

i went ahead and did a clean install and that seems to have fixed things. will let you know if anymore problems arise.
